When is the Men's and Women's 100m final at 2022 Commonwealth Games? | The Sun

BIRMINGHAM'S 2022 Commonwealth Games is finally here but don't blink as your favourite athletics event could be over in less than ten seconds.

Team England were dealt a huge blow in their 100m bid when gold medallist Dina Asher-Smith was forced to pull out of the competition due to injury.

However, sprinting fans will still be treated to the likes of British Championship winner Jeremiah Azu.

And Jamaican legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce who is fresh from securing gold at the World Championships earlier on this month.

When is the Men's 100m final?

The Men's 100m Round one is scheduled to get underway on Tuesday, August 2 at 10:40am UK time.

And the semi-finals is expected to start the following day, Wednesday, August 3 from 7:10pm.

However, fans won't have to wait long as the 100m final will take place later on that day around 9:30pm.

When is the Women's 100m final?

The Women's 100m Round one kicks off on the same day as the Men's, Tuesday, August 2 but from 12:15pm in the UK.

Wednesday, August 3 is the allocated date for the semi-finals and it will start at 7:35pm.
