What has Owen Farrell said about his mother?

Due to Owen playing for England and Andy coaching Ireland, it can be awkward when the two teams go head to head.

Owen has insisted in the past that the father and son duo don't mind when this happens but it can be hard for other family members to choose who to support.

Speaking to the Irish Independent, Owen said Colleen "doesn't know what she wants to happen" when the situation arises.

He said: "It’s not weird for us two It’s probably a bit more weird for the family that’s supporting, especially my mum.

"She says she doesn’t know what she wants to happen. It’s probably a bit tough for her – well, I know it is."

But Owen insisted that due to the pair not going head to head on the field, that it isn't that bad for them.

He added: "But in terms of us, we’re just doing our job. He’s not out there on the field, it’s not direct competition.

“We’ve been doing it for a long time now. It’s not the first time we’ve done it."
