Wilfried Zaha transfer news – odds: Chelsea favourites to sign Crystal Palace star ahead of Arsenal, Newcastle and Spurs | The Sun

CHELSEA are leading contenders to sign Wilfried Zaha.

That's according to Sky Bet, who've installed Chelsea at 13/2 to clinch the Crystal Palace winger's signature in January.

Zaha is enjoying a prolific campaign at Selhurst Park.

The 29-year-old has scored five goals and provided an assist in 10 appearances for Patrick Vieira's side.

Zaha has gone from strength to strength in recent seasons, breaking his Premier League goal tally record twice in succession.

But with just eight months remaining on his contract, which expires in June 2023, his future is under the microscope.

Zaha is now a senior figure in South London, helping a flood of young talent which includes Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Marc Guehi.

But the Ivory Coast international may have to seize his final chance at Champions League football.

And that could force Crystal Palace to sell in January rather than risk losing his services for free next summer.

If he decides to leave, Chelsea are favourites at 6/1.

The Blues are looking to bolster their attacking options with Graham Potter now in charge, and Zaha could represent value for money.

Arsenal are next in the betting market at 8/1, followed by Newcastle and Tottenham, who are 12/1 and 16/1 respectively.

For now, though, he is enjoying life at Selhurst Park.

He said: "Seeing what the young players can do, I’m happy I’m part of it. Just me telling them about efficiency and needing to show what you can add to the team, that’s what I tell them every game."

Vieira also claims that Zaha's contract situation is not troubling him.

He added: "It’s not an issue at all. Wilfried knows what the club thinks about him and we know what he thinks about the club.

"There will be a discussion taking place, but for myself and for the club what is important is for him to play at this level and to be consistent and to help those young players around him to grow and we’ll see what will happen.

"When he has a good day, I would say the team has a good day. He’s an important player on and off the field. He’s got the experience."
