Connecticut ranks third in the league with 83.9 PPG, second with 36.1 RPG and fifth with 20.5 APG. Only the Chicago Sky (47.6%) have a higher field goal percentage than the Sun (45.5%). With a defensive rating of 96.5, Connecticut ranks fourth. The Fever rank 11th with 78.2 PPG. The only team that averages fewer PPG is the Atlanta Dream (77.7). With a defensive rating of 107.8, the Fever rank 11th.

This is the fourth meeting this season between Indiana and Connecticut, both members of the Eastern Conference. On June 8, the Sun won 88-69.
