A PLACE in the Sun's Jasmine Harman has suffered a huge loss in a 'tragic accident' – telling fans 'it's an awful nightmare'.

The 46-year-old took to social media on Tuesday to reveal her family had suffered a sad loss.


Alongside a video and picture montage of her dog Jet, she wrote: "RIP Jet. I’ve been putting off posting this because I didn’t want it to be real.

"I just wanted to wake up from this awful nightmare where our darling boy has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. My heart is broken.

"A tragic accident and he is taken from us far, far too soon. Always happy, gentle, loved his family & his doggy & hooman friends.

"Life will be less sweet without you Jetty Confetti! We love you and will miss you always. You big goofball."

She continued: "Thank you for the joy, laughter and love you have brought to us over the past 2½ years. You were adored by everyone who met you.

"Run free my angel. I will see you again one day. Mummy loves you."

While the A Place in the Sun star didn't elaborate on what had happened to poor Jet, she was inundated with messages of support from her followers.

One wrote: "So so sorry to hear this. Thoughts are with you."

Another added: "Oh no, so sorry for your loss 😞 it’s heartbreaking when we loose our fur babies."

A third tweeted: "So sorry to read this, we truly love them for all their unconditional love they give to our families, and then the dreaded day come we have to say goodbye, but I believe we will meet them all again, until then we have to remember all those precious memories we had together, sending hugs and paw hugs your way."

Jasmine had introduced Jet to fans in December 2019 via social media with a picture of her cuddling the adorable pup.

She wrote: "Big news for the New Year – We have a new arrival!!! Meet Jet, our new furry family member.

“The children are absolutely besotted with him (as are we!) he’s been with us for a few weeks now and has settled beautifully.”
