There is going to be hell to pay for scheming Sandra Flaherty (Joanne Mitchell) when Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) returns to Emmerdale and discovers her nasty plotting against her daughter Liv (Isobel Steele).
From the moment Sandra arrived in the village, pretending she needed love and support from Liv, viewers have known that her motives are entirely selfish and nasty.
Knowing that Liv has a small fortune behind her, that is the only thing in Sandra’s sights; and her lying and gaslighting are all intended to hack at Liv’s insecurity and make her vulnerable to a cruel con.
Liv is giving her mum the benefit of the doubt, proud that she seemingly wants to tackle her alcoholism and make a better life for herself.
Mandy and Vinny (Lisa Riley and Bradley Johnson) are less than convinced and, when Aaron comes home for Faith’s (Sally Dexter) final days, he is instantly guarded when he sees Sandra is back on the scene.
Sandra has form for betraying Liv and now, Emmerdale bosses have declared that the complicated situation will play a big part in the 50th anniversary storylines.

Aaron is determined to protect Liv so, when Sandra’s plotting is exposed, how far will he go to ensure she pays?
‘You’ll see currently that Sandra’s back, Liv’s mum, and that story is building and that has a huge part to play across the 50th,’ producer Jane Hudson told Metro.co.uk.
‘And of course Aaron’s back. Is he going to discover that Sandra’s not all about Liv? When he arrives back, he sees she is there and suspects that not everything is as it seems.
‘There’s a huge story happening over there.’
And of course, he has another shock in store if he discovers that mum Chas (Lucy Pargeter) is cheating on his father figure Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt).
Does that mean Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) might also be on his revenge list?
