Waterloo Road‘s Katherine Pearce has made a brutal dig about her “utterly embarrassing” on-screen kiss with hunky co-star Adam Thomas.
The actress, who plays Amy Spratt, is one of many faces back on TV screens as part of the revamped coming-of-age series.
Joining Amy at the famous high school are returning faves like Donte Charles (Adam Thomas) and Nicky Walters (Kym Marsh).

As fans will know from the second episode, Amy was left rather red-faced when she awkwardly thought Donte was into her.
After inviting herself round to his place, the pair ended up getting drunk and busting out their best dance moves.
But things took a turn for the worse when the boozed up pair locked lips – which then lead to Amy stripping off and hopping into his bed upstairs.
And in an exclusive interview with Daily Star, Katherine recalled the “utter embarrassment” her character Amy had to endure – while making a savage blow about her kiss with hunky Adam.
Asked how she felt filming the scene, Kat admitted she was “a little nervous” beforehand, but luckily she felt in “really safe hands” with director Amanda Mealing.
“She gave me lots of space to get under the covers to make sure nothing was showing and all that stuff,” she added.
Getting into character, Kat quipped how she had “loads of time to feel the utter embarrassment and shame.”
Speaking about the smooch with Adam, Kat gushed “he’s a really kind man and we had a good time together,” noting that he is a “very good looking man.”
Then in a savage blow she quipped: “But he is also an absolute goofball and super annoying – it was easy to shake it off after.”
Kat, who is currently on tour in the No Pay? No Way play at the Manchester Royal Exchange, joined the Waterloo Road cast this year – when the BBC brought it back to TV screens after eight years off the air.
The first series premiered in January and was a hit with viewers, so much so that a second series premiered just four months later in May.
And she’s no stranger to appearing in iconic TV shows either, as back in 2019 she set foot on the famous Coronation Street cobbles.
Kat played “b*tchy” Lolly on the long-running ITV soap from March 2019 until February 2019 – but she told Daily Star she was “gutted” when bosses didn’t ask her back.
Teasing what the show's loyal legion fans can expect from Amy in the brand new second series of Waterloo Road, Kat said: “A lot of growing, a lot of trying and failing, trying and failing.”
She added: “A lot of triumph over adversity, just as a new teacher finding how you do it, how you deal with staff and life.”
