Good Morning Britain has been focusing on the coverage of the passing and the upcoming funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

On Thursday morning (August 15) they filmed people queuing up outside Westminster Hall as they questioned people on their decision to come and how long they have been there.

However, in one awkward moment on-screen, as a reporter started asking questions, their interview was cut short.

As the reporter went to one person she appeared unhappy to have the chat and it was immediately moved to the woman behind her as she was asked: "Can I ask how you guys…"

But she was immediately cut off as the mourner said: "I've already been interviewed up there."

The reporter swiftly moved on once again to the couple behind them, but it didn't stop fans from reacting to the blunder.

Fans took to Twitter after they were left cringing at the awkward snub on-air with one user writing: "People telling her to bugger off! [laughing emoji]."

Another wrote: "Sorry… already been interviewed [laughing emoji]."

A third added: "Always a risk when you pick on a random member of the public…"

A fourth joked: "'Already been interviewed, no more interviews please' ok Karen lol!"

An additional viewer added: "Well done to that lady in the queue for basically telling the reporter to f**k off."

Adults, children and the like were all queuing up to pay their respects to Her Majesty following her death on September 8.

Kate Garraway, who was heading up the show with Ben Shephard on Thursday morning, suggested that people queuing up could end up embarking on a romantic relationship.

A baffled Ben quizzed her on her thoughts as Kate defended her ideas, explaining that people with "similar interests" would all be in the same area.

While Ben confessed he could see her point, he did tell her that he didn't believe the queues to see the Queen's coffin was a "dating app".

Good Morning Britain has continued to cover news surrounding the passing of Queen Elizabeth since last week.

Her funeral is set to take place on Monday, September 19, which has now been declared a bank holiday as a national day of mourning.

GMB continues weekdays from 6am on ITV.
