She said: "When I turned 50, that was ten years ago, I was in a terrible state. I was putting on weight, my skin was dry, my hair was brittle, I was sugar addicted.

"I'd go to the doctors and they would say, 'listen you are turning 50, this is what happens.'"

Alison interrupted: "Sorry can we just rewind? Did you just say ten years ago you turned 50?

"Oh my goodness, you look amazing."

Fans were also gobsmacked by her age and said she looks brilliant.

One person tweeted: "Elle MacPherson looks incredible for nearly 60! B**ch."

Another wrote: "Elle Macpherson is 60?!"

During her appearance, the model promoted her wellbeing brand WelleCo.

When she was asked about moving from modelling into business, the star admitted she didn't enjoy her career.

Elle said: "I didn’t love modelling, but I loved what it brought me.

"I did love co-creating imagery and producing and art direction and seeing an image come to life, but it’s been a beautiful means to an end for me because I travelled and was independent and I’ve had a very large scope of career thanks to it.

    "It’s been an incredible education."
