Alison Hammond was forced to apologise as Dermot O’Leary swore at her live on This Morning.
The on-air blunder happened after the duo were giggling about how good-looking Dermot, 49, was when he presented Big Brother.
Former Big Brother star Alison, 47, asked her co-host: “How do you feel when you see yourself back then? You were so young!"
As he admitted: “Ah I love my time on the show.”
She beamed and him and gushed: “You were so good on that show.”
Before he quipped: “Just on that one,” as she teased: “Yeah just that one.”
The presenters broke out into hysterical laughter and fell onto each other in the free-spirited section, before Dermot momentarily forgot they were on live TV.
He picked up his glass to take a drink before swearing at Alison, as he turned directly to camera and said: “Such a b****.”
Dermot continued drinking as he didn’t seem to register what he had said, while Alison looked alarmed and shocked as she cried “Ooh!”
Alison then apologised on Dermot’s behalf as he continued to move on with the programme, as she added: “Apologies for that language.”
As Dermot continued with the show, he muttered “sorry” and swiftly moved onto the next segment.
Alison quickly composed herself and tried to stifle her smile, after the on-air blunder.
Fans were left divided by Dermot’s slip of the tongue with some finding it hilarious, while others were not very impressed.
One person wrote: “Omg did Dermot just call Alison a b**** on #ThisMorning?” as another echoed: “Did Dermot really just say that?!”
A third declared: “Dermot saying ‘such a b****’ and Alison trying not to laugh is getting me through the heatwave #ThisMorning.”
A fourth exclaimed: “I’m screaming at Alison trying to keep a straight face after Dermot called her a b**** live on air.”
“Alison trying not to laugh at Dermot is killing me!” another tweeted.
One fan thought the jovial dig was a sign of their brilliant “chemistry” as they wrote: “Dermot O’Leary swearing on #thismorning brilliant. Alison and Dermot’s chemistry is 100%!”
However, one unimpressed viewer wrote: "Dermot is out of order calling Alison a bxxch !!! She apologised but he hasn’t."
Another said: "Howlingggg…as if Dermot just called Alison a b***h on live tv. Im starting to believe they genuinely dont get on!"
ITV denied reports of a feud between Alison and Dermot back in June.
A spokesperson said: "Despite the challenges of starting their on screen partnership during a pandemic, Alison and Dermot have developed a firm friendship and their chemistry has proved a ratings success.”
“Since the pandemic ended, the pair are now able to enjoy socialising together post the show and have enjoyed spending time with each other's families too."
