Alison Hammond won over the hearts of the nation with her infectious laugh and boundless energy after she appeared on Big Brother in 2002.
She was destined for stardom as her bubbly personality secured her a regular spot hosting This Morning. Becoming a fan favourite Alison entered the jungle as a contestant on the 10th series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here in 2010 and competed on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.
While she remains the queen of daytime TV, her latest venture sees her co-host The Great British Bake Off alongside Noel Fielding. With a string of presenting gigs, Alison is no doubt one of the biggest stars to come out of Big Brother, despite being evicted after just 15 days.
Her time on the hit reality TV show, alongside the likes of Kate Lawler, Adele Roberts and the late Jade Goody, may have been short, but it didn't stop Alison from gaining a following of fans from her antics inside the house. In celebrations of her successes, we took a look back at where it first began with her most memorable moments in the Big Brother house…
Love of Vaseline
Before even entering the Big Brother house, Alison's original audition tape caught attention as she confessed her love of Vaseline. The video showed the star talking about her love for the product before explaining she wanted to be on the show for the "frills, frolics and excitement".
Breaking a table
Entering the house, the star was already getting into trouble as she got a stern talking to from Big Brother for breaking furniture. One evening, she joined fellow star Kate Lawler as they hopped on the garden furniture outside in an attempt to catch the attention of the security guards that surrounded the set.
But when she jumped the table cracked, much to the disapproval of Big Brother. She swiftly ran away giggling with Kate close behind, leaving viewers in hysterics.
Confessing her actions, Alison went to the diary room and said: "I've done something really really bad right, but really, it is an accident, they're all laughing now right.
"I think I just broke the outside table by jumping on it."
Sex position challenge
While the challenge has done a complete 360 and now often appears as a feature on Love Island, it seems Alison first brought it onto TV having instigated the game while in the Big Brother house. In a bid for some entertainment, Alison gathered the housemates for the lighthearted game.
The housemates proceeded in hysterics as she showed them how it was done.
Stealing eggs
Another iconic moment was when she decided to steal the eggs from the Big Brother chickens and put them in her dressing gown pocket. Telling one of her housemates she said: "Let's just take them and eat them now".
She told the others there were "no eggs" and burst into fits of giggles in true Alison style.
