Strictly: Amanda Abbington withdraws from the show
Amanda Abbington has revealed she is still feeling “really good” after she left BBC dance competition Strictly Come Dancing.
The actress returned to host her show on Boogaloo Radio and was asked how she was feeling by co-host Sue Vincent.
Kicking off the chat, Sue told her colleague: “I am phenomenally proud of you! I cannot find the words to say how proud I am.”
Amanda simply responded: “I’m good, I’m really good,” but she did not confirm why she had left the programme, but insisted she didn’t come to the “decision lightly.”
Hinting she felt pushed over the edge, she added: “My thing at the moment is ‘be kind’, it’s always been ‘be kind’.

“It takes so much more energy to be hateful, to be horrible, where you could just not say anything or say something positive.
“We’re living in a world where the laptop and the phone and social media allows you to say whatever you want without any recrimination, and you have no idea what that comment could do to someone – it could push someone over the edge to do something and God knows we have to look after each other.
“It’s, ‘you don’t know what someone else is going through, you have no idea what’s going on in their life so before you say anything hateful and cruel just check yourself.'”
At the time, Amanda released a statement on Instagram confirming she was leaving Strictly. She wrote: “It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly.
“I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons, I am unable to continue.
