Amy confronted by police for harassing rapist Aaron in Coronation Street

Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) faces DS Swain (Vicky Myers) in Coronation Street soon as someone takes more extreme action in the aftermath of her sexual assault.

After Amy attempted to get the police involved and had her case dropped, she’s found it extremely hard to watch Aaron move on with his life.

Struggling to face his reality, Aaron is continuing to maintain that Amy wanted to have sex just as much as he did a few months ago and is now trying to put the ordeal behind him by dating his ex, Mia.

Coming up, Amy finds Mia at the garage and tells her that Aaron raped her.

Mia is shocked but accuses Amy of making the whole thing up.

Later on, Mia confronts Aaron over Amy’s rape allegation, but he explains that they slept together once, Amy cried rape but then changed her mind and the police dropped the case.

Believing Aaron, Mia is appalled to think that Amy is dragging her boyfriend’s name through the mud.

Meanwhile, receiving a knock on the door, Amy finds DS Swain, who tells her that a serious allegation of harassment has been made against her.

But who reported Amy?

‘She instantly feels protective of Mia because she thinks, does this girl know what he’s capable of?’, Elle Mulvaney explained to us in a recent chat.

‘Has this girl been affected by him in the past? She’s just got 1000s and 1000s of questions running through her mind. Her main goal is to try and protect this girl and warn her.

‘There were never any feelings from Amy towards Aaron, other than that one kiss, so it’s not a jealousy thing. It’s more of a protective thing, she doesn’t want anybody else to have to go through what she’s gone through.’
