Ant and Dec tease big announcement warning before ITV Saturday Night Takeaway

For anyone thinking about giving tonight’s (March 25) Saturday Night Takeaway a miss, you might want to rethink as Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have teased a big announcement that will be revealed on tonight’s show.

The show, which has been dubbed the ‘"happiest 90 minutes of the week", has been back on our screens since February, with viewers enjoying seeing the pair participate in various sketches and prank their celebrity guests each week.

But although the Geordie duo are busy fronting the new season of Saturday Night Takeaway, they couldn’t resist giving their fans a hint at what’s to come with their other hit ITV show, I’m a Celebrity.

Ant and Dec took to the Saturday Night Takeaway Twitter account to share a video of themselves doing their weekly “What’s on the Show Show”, where they give viewers a look at what to expect on their screens from this week’s show.

And whilst they announced the usual segments, including Ant Vs Dec with Stephen Mulhern, and appearances from celebs including Jordan North and Diversity, they also teased a very big jungle announcement.

The pair told fans they would be doing a special I’m a Celebrity themed Read My Lips – a popular part of the show, where a celebrity has to wear headphones and try and guess what the guest panel are mouthing to them.

Tonight’s segment comes with a twist however; instead of words, they’ll be trying to lip read the line up of the long-awaited I’m A Celebrity All Stars series.

Rumours began circulating abou the possibility of an All Stars series back in September, with Ant and Dec calling it the worst kept secret in television as they confirmed that the series was, in fact, being made. The duo have already filmed the new series in South Africa, and will be airing it later this year.

The All Stars version of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here will feature contestants from previous series, with a rumoured 15 celebs re-entering the jungle to battle it out to be crowned king or queen.

So far, there have been no official confirmations of contestants, although people have already been speculating about who they expect to see return to the jungle.

Among the rumoured contestants is Coronation Street's Andy Whyment, who took part in the show in 2019, former soap star Helen Flanagan, who appeared on the ITV show ten years ago and was known for her refusal to participate in any of the trials, and former winner Joe Swash, who met his now-wife Stacey Solomon and won the show in 2010.

It comes after they revealed on Friday they had a "very exciting announcement" as Dec gave a "little clue" by pulling out one of the stars contestants have to collect on I'm A Celeb and saying: "This is what it's all about."

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway tonight on ITV at 7pm.
