Two guests on BBC's Antiques Roadshow were left completely stunned after their elaborate Japanese bowl was valued at an astonishing £55,000.
During Sunday night's (August 6) show, expert Lars Tharp analysed a decorative bowl which included carefully painted images of faces and dragons.
Explaining how the item came into their possession, the gentlemen who appeared on the show with a younger woman said the item had been in his family for a number of years but he knew "very little about it".
He also said that his mother used to own the bowl.
However the guests were shocked when the expert revealed it was worth over £50k.
Lars said: "In today's market I think this would appeal and it would probably appeal at the range of maybe let's say, £55,000."
Gobsmacked, the pair both simply said, "Wow".
