I’m A Celeb All Stars confirmed as Ant and Dec share surprise news for 2023

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have finally confirmed that they are set to film a brand new spin-off series of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

The All-Star series of I'm A Celebrity was first rumoured earlier this year, but now the show's hosts have officially confirmed it in a video posted to Twitter.

Revealing the exciting news, Dec told fans: "It's probably the worst kept secret in television but we can confirm we are doing a very special series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!"

The announcement of the new series comes after it was also confirmed that this year's series of I'm A Celeb will be returning to Australia.

As fans await the highly anticipated special series, here's everything you need to know about what it is, where it will be filmed, and when we can expect to see it.

What is I’m A Celebrity All-Stars?

I'm A Celebrity All-Stars is a spin-off of the hit reality show I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! which sees a cast of famous faces living together in the jungle without their home comforts.

The All-Star spin-off of the popular series will feature an array of the popular contestants who have appeared on the show before, and the stars will return to the jungle to take part in the traditional Bushtucker trials.

Announcing the new series, Dec revealed: "It's gonna be your favourite celebrities from the last 20 years who are going back in to do it one more time."

As well as having a cast of familiar faces, another key difference to the All-Stars series will be that it won't be live.

Instead the show will be filmed ahead of time and is expected to be filmed over the course of two weeks, not three.

Where will I'm A Celebrity All-Stars be filmed?

Another big difference to the All-Stars spin-off series will be the location.

Usually, I'm A Celebrity is filmed in Australia, however for the past two years the show has been shot in Wales instead because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The regular I'm A Celeb series is finally returning to Australia this year, but the All-Star series will have its own new location: South Africa.

Hosts Ant and Dec confirmed the new location in their announcement video shared to social media. The duo excitedly shouted "South Africa!" as they revealed that they were currently at the filming location for the new All-Star series.

When is I'm A Celebrity All-Stars?

Although the spin-off series has now been confirmed, it will still be a little while before we see it on our screens.

Ant and Dec also confirmed that they would be returning to Australia this year for a regular series of I'm A Celebrity before the South African series, which they said would happen in 2023.

Clearing up any confusion about the two series, they explained: "So Australia 2022, South Africa 2023."
