BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent was nowhere to be seen on the show today – with a replacement host filling her spot.

On Wednesday (November 8), Sally did not appear on the show in her regular spot next to Jon Kay. Instead, presenter Sarah Campbell was left sitting on the famous red sofa.

Sally and Jon usually host the show together from Monday – Wednesday – but this week has suffered a shake-up.

This comes after fans were left concerned that day before after Sally appeared to look ill on the show on Tuesday (November 7).

Sally's illness was pointed out by viewers at home and she was praised for "soldiering on" through it.

They guessed she was suffering from a seasonal cold as she hosted the BBC morning show alongside her co-host Jon.
