Annabel Croft has opened up about losing her husband Mel Coleman, revealing she wishes he could have met her Strictly Come Dancing partner Johannes Radebe.
Tennis ace Annabel, 57, appeared on This Morning on Tuesday, 21 November and spoke about losing her beloved husband, who sadly passed away from stomach cancer in May.
She said it has been a "horrific year" and admitted she wishes she could speak to him about Strictly and introduce him to professional dancer Johannes.
Annabel said: "It has been a horrific year, it was something I've never anticipated, this was never meant to be how life was going to be, I thought I had a future with my husband, we'd been together since I was 21, 36 years together and I miss him terribly, there is no question about it."
"I so want to speak to him about what we are doing, I miss his humour and I really wish that Johannes had met him because I feel like they would have got on so well," she heartbreakingly added.
Annabel met her husband Mel in the 1980s and they were happily married for 30 years before his tragic death. Mel was a millionaire from his day job, while Annabel was a tennis ace who made a name for herself at just 15 before retiring early due to career setbacks.
Annabel, who shares children Amber Rose, Lily and Charlie with Mel, has been honouring her late husband on Strictly with Johannes.
Annabel and Johannes performed an emotional Couple's Choice dance in memory of Annabel's late husband on the BBC show, which Mel was a huge fan of.
After the emotional performance, Annabel told Johannes: "I just wish you had met my husband, because I have these flashbacks to our house and him watching you with tears running down his face.
"Honestly, it's so special, it's beyond anything I could put into words. He used to cry watching it. He used to call me over if I was cooking, and he was crying watching it. So, I hope he's watching up there."
Following their performance, Annabel shared a snap of herself with Johannes, thanking everyone for their support.
She wrote: "What a special night. Thank you so much for all the kind comments and support, particularly from everyone in my Strictly family – I couldn’t do this experience without all of you, especially @johannesradebe who has the ability to consistently make me laugh.
"A special shout out to @ashleighhunter83 and @arduinobertoncello who created such beautiful choreography and the wardrobe team for designing such a beautiful dress. Sending everyone lots of love xxx."
