Beloved EastEnders resident 'set for tragic death as fire rips through cafe' | The Sun

A BELOVED resident of Albert Square is 'set for tragic death as fire rips through cafe'.

Over the years we have seen the multiple fires happen in the Queen Vic pub, the Slater family home on Halloween in 2002 and the B&B.

However, some fans of EastEnders think that a tragic death twist awaits Karen Taylor in the coming weeks.

The Sun previously revealed that a catastrophic fire will rip through the square which will leave Kathy's cafe in burnt ruins.

However, it was revealed earlier this year that the character was being written out of the long-running BBC soap.

Lorraine Stanley first joined the cast in 2017, but she is set to leave the role after six years.

Although no details about the fire have been revealed, fans fear that Karen could meet her demise in the upcoming storyline.

Theories are already circulating on X – formerly known as Twitter – that suggest she could become trapped whilst the fire rages, or she could try to save her daughter Bernadette.

One fan predicted: "Just finding out that the fire is at the Cafe.

"That means that there is a possibility that Karen could die in the fire as we know she's leaving in October. Very bold move to kill her off if that's the case as I thought Karen would get an open exit."

A second suggested: "I feel that she is going to die as Karen would never leave her kids & grandkids under any circumstances except death.

"With this fire in autumn being confirmed to be in the cafe where Bernie, Karen’s daughter works and Karen has been confirmed to exit the show in the coming months, it’s obvious how Karen is going to exit," penned a third.

And a fourth viewer added: "Right, based on no evidence I’m saying that Nish & Ian come into business together, both are rubbish so something happens, one of them gets miffed & sets fire 2 the cafe for money or retaliation depending. Bernie’s inside, so Karen goes in 2 try & save her & then dies."

We reported that filming of the dramatic scenes has just taken place and it was said to look “incredible”.

However, the event will have massive consequences for some of the soap’s favourite characters – as the attack appears to be deliberate.

An insider said: “Bosses are staying tight-lipped about who’s behind the attack and who is left fighting for their lives, but viewers can expect lots of drama as the storyline unfolds on-screen and the residents of Walford deal with the fallout of the event.

“These scenes have just been shot and they look incredible."

The source added: "They are part of the explosive autumn the show has lined up."

It comes as viewers are already captivated by the whodunnit which is unfolding on the Square thanks to February’s shock flash forward scene.
