ITV viewers have been left concerned for judge Simon Cowell after he was unable to speak during Brtiain's Got Talent live finals.

The 63-year-old returned to screens for the epic event alongside show judges Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli and Amanda Holden.

However, during the show Simon showed signs of ill health on Sunday night (June 4) as he appeared to be suffering with a sore throat.

Fans of BGT quickly noticed that something was wrong after singer Amy Lou's performance as he was unable to share his thoughts.

Heading over to Twitter, BGT viewers shared their concerns.

One viewer asked: "Simon are you ok hun?"

Another echoed: "U ok Simon hun? Take some water hunny."

A third asked: "What's wrong with Simon's throat lol."

Meanwhile, others believed Simon could have been choking on some food.

Sharing their thoughts on Simon, one viewer added: "The way Simon was choking and instead of Amanda patting him on the back she stroked his back softly."

While another added: "Simon casually choking in the background."

Later on in the show, Simon came under fire from fans after he said comedian Tonikaku was one of the funniest acts to ever appear on BGT.

The rising pant-wearing star left viewers stunned when he was chosen as the wild card act to appear in the final.

Sharing his thoughts on the decision to place Tonikaku in the final, father of one Simon said: "It wasn't my decision.

"It was unanimous. We had to have him. It wouldn't have been the same without him."
