BGTs epic blunders – Amanda Holdens F-bomb, seeing double and host gets stuck

Britain's Got Talent is back with a bang and plenty of wacky new acts.

Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli are on the hunt for the next superstar to perform at the Royal Variety Show as well as a whopping £500,000.

While the auditions are pre-recorded, the semi-final and grand final are filmed live and aired on ITV1.

Over the years, things haven't quite gone to plan for the stars of the show.

From accidentally wearing to an editing mistake, Daily Star has taken a look back at some of the epic BGT blunders.

F-bomb apology

A frightened Amanda was taken away from her seat on the judging panel by mysterious contestant back in 2019 during the live semi-finals.

The act saw Elizabeth lead Amanda backstage where she was left completely spooked by a scary magic trick.

It left the TV star exclaiming “F**k!” on the stage live on ITV.

"We’d like to apologise if you heard any bad language there from Amanda, but she was very scared," Ant and Dec said after the performance.

Amanda added: "I just really want to apologise if I said anything… so massive apology. I can honestly say I feel terrified."

Boy falls off scooter

Scooter boys tried to impress the judges with their daredevil skills during the 2022 series.

However, half-way during the performance, one of the members took a stumble and fell off their scooter.

The group, aged 6 to 10, also had a false start to their first audition after one member crashed during a trick.

Despite the minor fall, fans were quick to praise the young group for their incredible talent.

Rapper forgets lyrics

Alesha's golden buzzer act Flintz and T4ylor performed an emotional performance on stage as part of the 2022 series.

Things got too much for Flitz, however, after he forgot the lyrics to his rap song while performing live to the nation.

He looked absolutely gutted and cried after finishing the song and the judges urged him not to beat himself up about it.

Heartbroken for him, Amanda was in tears herself as she said: "It doesn't matter, all your emotions got in there. What we need is authenticity and truth and that is what you do."

Host gets stuck in chair

Ant McPartlin managed to get himself stuck in a chair during a show-stopping opening to the first live semi-final show of the 2022 series.

Britain's Got Talent fans flocked to Twitter within minutes of the show starting to discuss the hilarious mis-hap.

One chuckled: "Haha great start for Ant."

Another said: "Ant got stuck on the entrance hilarious."

A third chimed in: "Ant getting stuck in his chair."

Seeing double

Fans were left scratching their heads as former judge David Walliams appeared to be in two places at once during one episode of the 2022 series.

Pensioner Joy Weir was seen cutting some serious shapes on the stage the comedian busted a groove alongside her.

However, eagled-eyed viewers noticed the Little Britain star was up on stage and sitting alongside his fellow judges at the same time.

After the editing error was spotted by one, several fans later questioned whether David was gifted with the ability to clone himself.

"Didn’t know David had a twin #BGT … David in his seat and David on the stage"’ one person tweeted.

"Brilliant editing from the #BGT team, David up onstage and David also sat in his seat, at the same time!" another quipped.
