Big Brother’s Matty in tears as he doesn’t get to see boyfriend – after love triangle

Tuesday's Big Brother was a rather emotional instalment as the housemates were visited by their friends and family, but not everyone was able to receive a visitation.

With only half of the house receiving visitors, Matty was among those who missed out after Trish and Chanelle decided to let Yinrun's boyfriend enter the house, over Matty receiving a video call from his.

During his time in the Big Brother house Matty, who is in an open relationship with his boyfriend, has found himself involved in something of a love triangle with Jordan, who has been rather flirtatious with both Matty and Henry.

Deciding which of the boyfriends to allow access to the house, Chanelle had mentioned this love triangle as part of the reason why Matty may benefit from a message from his boyfriend, but she and Trish ultimately decided to let Yinrun's boyfriend in.

As the episode aired, fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss the teary scenes, with one writing: "@bbuk I cried waterfalls when Matty’s boyfriend got ejected #bbuk."

And another added: "Matty has broken my heart today #bbuk" however, others accused the housemate of being rather dramatic.

One viewer joked: "Not me laughing at Matty's Ian Beale cries #BBUK" before adding that he sounded like he was "auditioning for Hollyoaks."

Others commented on Matty's tears clearing up after he discovered his boyfriend wasn't actually at the house, and would have only appeared through a video call, as one quipped: "Matty wailing like a war widow then immediately switching up when he found out his boyfriend didn’t fly over."

"can’t stop thinking about matty boyfriendgate genuinely a David’s dead level of miscommunication #bbuk" joked another.

Matty hasn't been the only Big Brother housemate hit with romance speculation despite being in a relationship on the outside, with recent evictee Paul having been at the centre of a "brewing romance" with Olivia.

However, since leaving the house, Paul has hit out at this speculation, telling OK!: "The narrative got pushed for me and her [Olivia] from the get-go.

"And me and Olivia made it quite clear, we'd never touch each other, we'd never go near each other.

"We were just friends, there was nothing to it. We all cuddled each other. Matty gave me massages all the time and it was the way we expressed our feelings in the house.

"We found comfort in giving each other a hug. We were all in it together, we were one big team it wasn't as diverse as it seems."
