Blue Bloods season 14 renewal announcement
CBS’ hit generational drama Blue Bloods is drawing closer to its season 13 finale which will air on Friday, May 19. Danny Reagan star Donnie Wahlberg took to social media with a touching post as he thanked everyone on the show and revealed he had finished filming for season 13.
With the dreaded season 13 finale approaching, Donnie issued a passionate speech as he celebrated the end of production.
The actor shared a behind-the-scenes from the set as he wrapped up his final day as Danny Reagan.
After a round of applause and a brief celebratory dance, the actor thanked the cast and crew of Blue Bloods as he stated: “We’re so blessed to work with you all.”
His gratitude continued in the lengthy caption as he went on to thank fans for tuning into the drama.

It read: “Yesterday — April 4 — was not only #NKOTBReunionDay, it also happened to be the day that we officially wrapped Season 13 of #BlueBloods.
“I can’t tell you all how fortunate I am to work with such an amazing cast & crew, nor can I ever properly express my gratitude to them and to all of you — our loyal fans & viewers!
“I can, however, promise to keep working my ass off to show you how incredibly thankful I am for this most wonderful opportunity to be welcomed into your homes (with my TV family) each week.
“To be part of your lives and to have you as part of mine — and to be so blessed to do what I love to do every day.”

Donnie continued: “Thank you! On to Season 14! See you in July! Let’s go!” (sic)
Thankfully for fans, the upcoming instalment was recently given the green light by network bosses.
CBS confirmed the renewal with an exciting video which teased more action in store for the Reagan family.
Ahead of the season 14 premiere, the President of CBS Entertainment, Amy Reisenbach released a statement about the instalment.

She shared: “Blue Bloods has dominated Friday nights since its premiere and remained an important anchor for CBS’ winning lineup.
“Led by the outstanding Tom Selleck, and an incredible cast and creative team, viewers continue to embrace the Reagans, their law enforcement family, and the series’ dramatic storytelling.
“We can’t wait to pull a chair up to the Reagan family dinner table for another fantastic season.”
Blue Bloods became an instant hit with CBS viewers after it premiered in 2010.
The multi-generational procedural drama followed the Reagan family as they worked in different areas of law enforcement.
The star-studded cast is led by Tom Selleck who plays the no-nonsense patriarch and police commissioner, Frank Reagan.
Danny is a detective with the NYPD, while Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) serves as a field intelligence sergeant.
Elsewhere Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) is working towards becoming a district attorney.
Blue Bloods season 13 continues Fridays on CBS in the USA and the following Mondays on NOW in the UK.
