Bobby Brazier confirms exit from EastEnders

EastEnders star Bobby Brazier has confirmed an exit from the BBC soap, but don’t worry, as he will be back.

The Freddie Slater star is taking a break from the demanding soap schedules in order to compete in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.

His exit will come after a jam packed year for character Freddie, who arrived on the Square in 2022 looking for his real dad.

He soon found out that Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) wasn’t his dad, as he had been led to believe, but remained in the dark about his true parentage.

During his time on the Square, he struck up friendships with Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), before eventually moving in with Alfie .

In recent months, Freddie once again decided that he wanted to find his biological dad, and soon learnt his real name, allowing him to track him down and arrange a meeting.

After his meeting with Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney), Kat Slater was forced to tell Freddie the truth behind his conception.

Freddie was completely devastated to learn that his mum, Little Mo, had been raped by Graham in 2003, and soon took himself back home to talk things through with her.

Having arrived back in the Square, he then upset best friend Bobby by giving into temptation with Anna Knight (Molly Rainford), despite being fully aware of Bobby’s feelings for her.

Speaking about his exit to the media, Bobby Brazier kept tight lipped about the storyline that would lead to his temporary exit.

‘I’m taking a break. I’ve filmed it all, and I’m not telling you. I’ll be back.’

Bobby has had a very successful year so far, having picked up the award for Rising Star at the National Television Awards. Could he top it off with a Strictly win?
