It’s been confirmed that Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb Milligan (William Ash) are holding someone hostage at Wylie’s Farm in Emmerdale.
This week, the brothers returned to the village after time away on a so-called business trip.
It became apparent the car shipping project was somewhat of a cover up for Caleb and Cain, as they spoke to each other about getting their stories straight, and not communicating via phone because it leaves a ‘breadcrumb trail’.

The storyline really developed in Thursday’s (October 5) episode of the ITV soap, as Caleb organised a posh car to be delivered to the Dales, so Moira (Natalie J Robb) could believe the business was legit.
As Moira and Mack (Lawrence Robb) enjoyed test-driving the car, Cain and Caleb continued to be secretive about going to the ‘office’ and attending meetings.
We then saw the brothers outside a farmhouse at Wylie’s Farm. It is currently owned by Kim Tate (Claire King), but Cain told Caleb that the house hasn’t been touched since the storm last year.
After Caleb hammered some wooden slats onto a window, he left with Cain and agreed to meet up tomorrow.
But as they got into the car, it was confirmed someone was inside the abandoned building.
As the brothers drove away, we heard banging on the window – but who is being held hostage?
Could it be a character who currently lives in the Dales, or is a shock return on the way?
