Charlotte Crosby insists Jacques was kicked out of Love Island after doing something that wasnt shown

Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has shared her own theory surrounding Jacques O’Neill’s shock exit from the Love Island villa, as she suggested the exit may not have been entirely his choice.

Viewers of the ITV2 dating show were left in shock on Tuesday night, after the rugby pro, who plays for the Castleford Tigers, decided to call time on his search for romance and leave the villa.

The decision to leave came after Love Island veteran Adam Collard returned to the show and began to make moves on Paige Thorne, who Jacques was coupled up with.

In heated scenes, tensions could be seen running high as Jacques appeared to be struggling with the new found competition, with his temper getting the better of him as he fumed over Adam “chatting s**t” about him behind his back.

Caught in the crossfire of the animosity, Paige took to the beach hut to express her disappointment in how Jacques was choosing to handle the situation.

She said: “I don’t really care what Adam has or hasn’t said about you, or how you feel about what was said about you. I care about how you approach the situation.

“Yet again, I am not here to be someone’s mum or to train them on how to be a boyfriend.”

Later in the episode, Jacques announced his decision to leave the villa and made an emotional goodbye to his fellow Islanders, tearfully telling them: "Lately, I just can't be myself. I'm trying my best – but I'm not a fake person.

"I'm not going to start faking things and act like I'm OK when things inside aren't actually OK.”

As his fellow Islanders looked on in shock, Jacques continued: "So I'm going to be leaving today. I just can't stick around and not be myself. It's not fair to me and it's definitely not fair to Paige.”

He then concluded: "For me and Paige to work I need to be at my best and if that means removing myself from the situation and waiting for Paige when she gets out, that's what I'm going to do.”

Although the exit appeared to be amicable, Love Island fan Charlotte wasn’t so convinced as she took to her Instagram stories to share what she thought really happened.

Not mincing her words, Charlotte said: “110%. If you all are watching this thinking Jacques has decided to leave off his own back, you are so deluded."

She then continued to claim: “Something’s happened that they haven’t shown and he’s done something that they’ve kicked him out for. They’ve just edited it in a clever way and it’s so obvious.”

Love Island announced Jacques' departure from the villa on Tuesday, hours before his emotional exit aired on the show.

A show spokesperson said: "Jacques has made the decision to leave the Villa. He will explain his reasons to the Islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques."

Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
