It only takes a kiss! Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) is hoping that she can finally put her betrayal to bed – along with her ex Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt). If you know what we mean.
Next week, Chas and Paddy spend some time together with Eve and old sparks resurface, leading to them sharing a kiss.
It’s a fleeting moment which messes up a conflicted Paddy’s head – he had loved Chas for so long but her actions hurt him so much that it was a factor in his darkest ever day.
Chas meanwhile, is taking the kiss as a sign that a reunion is imminent – although we’re not sure that fans of the show would be rooting for this.
It’s fair to say that not much gets past Charity (Emma Atkins) – and in a new video clip, she is pestering her for information.
A coy Chas denies everything for all of 20 seconds, before then telling Charity about the kiss.
‘I knew it!’ Charity shrills, wanting more details.
Chas can’t hide her smile as she says that it’s the happiest she has felt in months. Is that happier than the time you were picking out a house with Al behind Paddy’s back?
Clearly Charity isn’t sure. The fact that Paddy spent the rest of the night with Chas and Eve pretending it never happened, she fears Chas may be getting ahead of herself.
But Paddy himself is in turmoil after the moment; he can’t forget about it either and he asks Mandy (Lisa Riley) for her advice.
We know that Mandy is carrying a torch for her ex, but she doesn’t take the opportunity to drive a stake into Chas.
Telling Paddy he should listen to his heart, what will Paddy choose?
Will Chas remain as happy as she currently is? Or will Paddy shoot her down as too much has happened?
