Chloe Madeley’s reality show future at risk after split with James Haskell

Chloe Madeley issues warning to James Haskell

The future of Chloe Madeley’s brand new ITV fly-on-the-wall reality series is reportedly already at risk after her split from husband James Haskell.

Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair followed the couple as they adjusted to becoming parents to baby Bodhi, with Chloe’s famous parents Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan also making an appearance.

However, the chances of a second series being made now hang in the balance as ITV has yet to make a new decision.

A source told The Sun: “It’s really early days but ITV is really keen – the show would have to change radically to focus on Chloe.

“It’s really down to if Chloe wants to do it or not – at the moment it’s something she’d have to think about.”

Touching on their split and the rumours surrounding their marriage, a separate source added: “It was very frustrating for Chloe as she desperately just wanted to focus to be on the show which has been doing really well with viewers.

“The whole premise of the series was that she and James kept things real, and didn’t hide their arguments and day-to-day reality.

“They had actually planned on announcing their separation towards the end of the year so as not to garner unwanted PR for A Family Affair.”

Express.co.uk contacted ITV but they declined to comment.

The first series ended on Sunday, October 29, and saw James and Chloe celebrate Bodhi’s first birthday while Chloe juggled TV appearances and podcasts.

Chloe and James recently announced their split and in a joint statement said: “James and I mutually decided separate at the end of September, 2023.

“We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time – certainly not while the television show was airing – but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand.

“Beyond this statement, we will not be speaking about this matter publicly, and we would request privacy at this time. Our sole focus now is our beautiful daughter.

“We shall continue to co-parent with nothing but love,” with James later sharing the statement online and added: “It’s with a lot of sadness I write this post.

“But unfortunately, in the world we live in, it has to be done. My priority is my daughter’s and Chloe’s happiness and security. For that reason, I won’t be commenting any further.”
