Claudia Winkleman looks unrecognisable without her famous fringe as fans go wild

Claudia Winkleman looks completely unrecognisable in an unearthed throwback video dating back to 2003 – without her famous fringe.

The Strictly Come Dancing host had fans frenzying as they realised they could finally see her forehead in a clip that resurfaced on Twitter this week.

In it, Claudia could be seen interviewing Frasier star Jane Leeves for the BBC, sporting slightly lighter brunette tresses and a side parting instead of her full bangs.

She looked incredibly fresh faced in the throwback video, without her famous dark eyeliner and the scarlet lipstick she’s often seen with nowadays.

Instead, Claudia wore minimal eye make-up and a swipe of pale pink gloss on her pout as she carried out the interview, wearing a black jumper for the casual chat.

Predictably, the video, which hailed from the BBC Archive, proved a viral hit on Twitter – and sent fans absolutely wild.

Fans quickly took to the replies section to air their shock at Claudia’s look, with one writing: “I think this is the first time I’ve seen Claudia Winkleman’s forehead.”

Another echoed: “The lack of fringe is the real archive matter of interest here!” while a third echoed: “Loving Claudia’s look there!”

“Hello Claudia. We can see you!” someone else posted.

It comes as series two of Claudia’s hit BBC show The Traitors has been ‘confirmed’, with a show source telling The Mirror the reality-detective show will be renewed.

The insider said: “These days almost every new series is a reboot of something that's gone before.

“So it’s really nice to try something fresh – and for it to do well. The Traitors got everyone talking, so bringing it back was a no-brainer. Claudia was perfect."

The first episode of the beloved show brought in 3.9million viewers, with the finale boosted to 4.6million.

Claudia said of the show: “I was in deep. I cry at the end. I haven't cried in, like, 20 series of Strictly – with this I was on the floor sobbing. Inconsolable.

"It's a game of smarts, not a game of luck. It's a game of wit. It's an awful lot of money. I was myself and at the end I'm sobbing on the floor. There are so many twists."
