Coronation Street fans distracted by Faye Windass blunder as she exits | The Sun

FAYE Windass and actress Ellie Leach said goodbye last night after 12 years in the cobbles.

However, Coronation Street fans slammed the ITV soap as they spotted a massive blunder and deemed her exit was rushed.

Faye moved to Slough during last night's trip to Weatherfield alongside Jackson Hodge (Joseph William Evans) and their daughter Miley (Frankie-Jae Simmonds).

However Faye didn’t even get the ending of the episode, and was just driven off mid-way through and fans have hit out at the soap for it.

One wrote: "I thought that Faye's departures would be more melodramatic."

A second said: "Crumbs not even a black cab for Faye."

Another quickly jumped in by pointing out that Faye forgot one major detail about her own life.

In her rush out of Weatherfield, Faye didn't even resign from her position as a telesales agent in the Underworld factory.

"Is it me or did Faye forget to resign from her job before departing or is she intending on commuting", the fan penned.

Others sarcastically wondered what Faye would do to earn a living once she reached Slough.

"Is it me or did Faye forget to resign from her job before departing or is she intending on commuting?", one commented as another asked: "didn't Faye have a job?"

A third quipped: "Faye just leaving like that despite having a factory job."

"What's Faye going to do for work without her pity job at the factory?", a fourth wrote.

When Jackson and Miley left to pack, Faye was clearly distraught and trying to hide it.

Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) stunned her by telling her: “You don’t have to do this, pretending everything is OK. Maybe this will never be OK.

“Maybe you will never be happy with me. And one day you’ll look back and think ‘what if?’. But right now you have a choice.

“If you want to you can go with Miley and Jackson, you can be together.”

Faye tried to insist she loved Craig, clearly terrified that Craig would report her to the police, but he tried to get her to admit the truth.

He asked her: “Do you love me more than Jackson? If you stay with me, are you going to be settling for second best?”

As Faye insisted she would be happy with Craig, he wouldn’t hear of it and got her to admit how she really felt.

He said: “Maybe if you do go, you’ll be able to forgive me for everything I’ve ever done wrong.

“For trying to trap you. I never meant to hurt you, I didn’t want that. I just wanted to make you happy and this will make you happy. So go on, what are you waiting for? Get a move on.”

Faye rushed off to pack, before deciding to move her entire life last minute and surprising Jackson and Miley.
