CORONATION Street fans are convinced that a long-serving character will expose and even murder serial killer Stephen Reid.
With three murders under Stephen's (Todd Boyce) belt, fans think they have worked out that Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) will murder Stephen before he leaves Weatherfield.
Tensions have been brewing between the taxi driver and businessman in recent weeks.
Stephen told Lou that Peter had stolen Rufus’ watch, knowing that if he revealed the truth, it would increase the chance of people discovering that Rufus is only dead because of him.
Stephen is also responsible for the deaths of Leo (Joe Frost) and Teddy Thompkins (Grant Burgin).
Peter found out that Stephen had thrown him and Carla Connor (Alison King) under the bus.

Since then, Peter has been convinced that Stephen has a hidden agenda.
Carla agreed with Peter, but said she couldn’t do anything about it as she needs him working at the factory until she’s back in a position to take over again.
Peter clashed with Stephen numerous times and argued that his actions make him look like a psychopath.
As Peter grows more suspicious, fans are convinced he'll end up bumping off the serial killer.

Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, one fan said: "I really hope that Peter kills Stephen during Super Soap Week in October. #Corrie."
Another wrote: "Do you think Peter could be the person that kills Stephen during Super Soap Week leading to Peter's exit?"
A third penned: "That would be the only way I would accept Peter leaving without Carla to be honest."
Peter actor Chris Gascyone will be leaving the soap later this year.
A source said: "Chris has decided to take an extended break from the soap.
"He loves working at Coronation Street but he's got a lot of things he wants to do and the time is right for him to take a break and pursue other roles.
"It isn't a final goodbye and the door is very much being left open.
"Obviously fans will be devastated but there's a good few months of huge drama yet before he bids farewell to the cobbles."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
