Coronation Street fans will be introduced to newcomer Ava Haynes in upcoming scenes as Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) tries to find out more about Mike Hargrave (Tim Lorcan).
Fans of the ITV soap have been suspicious of Mike and his wife Esther Hargrave (Vanessa Hehir) ever since they suggested becoming surrogate parents to Summer's unborn child last year.
Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) recognised Mike in recent scenes and realised he was the drunken man who previously flirted with her in the Bistro.

Leanne quickly told Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), who was left deeply concerned.
In upcoming scenes, Summer is shocked when Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) tells her he has been contacted by Ava, a member of the congregation at Mike and Esther’s old church, claiming she had an affair with Mike.
Summer decides to confront Esther who confirms it is true but says they have agreed to put it behind them.
The youngster decides to meet up with Ava and is shocked by what she discovers.
A furious Summer heads over to Esther and Mike’s but finds herself in danger when Mike locks her in the nursery without her bag containing her phone and insulin. Will Summer be ok?
Some soap fans will recognise actress Ava actress Thea Beyleveld from her Emmerdale role as Natalie, the potential surrogate mum to Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley)and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
Thea joined the ITV soap’s cast in 2019 and was part of a gripping storyline as fan favourite couple Robron tried for a child of their own.
The actress also appeared in ITV crime drama Bancroft when it returned in the same year.
On the big screen, the Emmerdale actress has also enjoyed a number of parts.
The soap star appeared in short film Pedigree, which received a BAFTA/LA Student Film Award nomination back in 2015.
She’s also starred in short films A Problem Shared and I Want to be Happy Cha Cha Cha.
