Coronation Street legend Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) may be set to fall victim to the murderous ways of Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) as he gets too close for comfort in upcoming episodes.
Following the news of Leo’s death, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) is concerned that Teddy hasn’t been in touch about his funeral, and wonders if she should pay him a visit.
Though Stephen attempts to quash the idea, Jenny can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong, and ends up voicing her concerns to Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) at the police station.
Just as Stephen announces that he wants to whisk girlfriend Jenny away to Thailand under the guise of taking her away from the stress, disaster strikes and his plan is thwarted.

When the Waterford’s Manager turns up unexpectedly at the Rovers, Jenny is horrified as they break the news that they will be closing the pub for refurbishments, leaving the staff jobless and Jenny and Stephen with nowhere to live.
Luckily, Rita is on hand to offer the couple a roof over their heads, but is she putting herself at risk by allowing a serial killer into her home?
While Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) is convinced the Rovers staff may have a case for unfair dismissal, Jenny can’t focus, as news has come in about Leo and Teddy.
Viewers will remember Leo as Stephen’s first murder victim, with dad Teddy coming under fire after suspecting Stephen had something to do with his disappearance.
When DS Swain reveals that there is proof neither Leo nor Teddy visited Canada, as Stephen had insisted, Jenny argues that Teddy contacted Stephen from Canada, leaving Stephen inwardly panicking.
Of course, viewers will know that Teddy didn’t really go to Canada, but has actually been at the bottom of the canal for several months, after Stephen murdered him with a hole punch.
As the police grow closer to finding out what really happened to the missing men, could Stephen lash out at those closest to him, leaving Rita in a dangerous position?
