Coronation Street reveals mind-boggling secret behind grisly forest burial scene | The Sun

CORONATION Street has revealed a mind-boggling secret behind grisly forest burial scenes.

Wednesday's episode of the ITV soap saw Kelly Neelan put her plan into action as she hired a hitman take Gary Windass to the woods to murder him during her engagement party.

Tense scenes saw Gary escorted to the woodland area to dig his own grave.

As Kelly prepares to marry Aadi, Keiron called Kelly saying he would murder Gary that night.

But Kelly had a change of heart and told Gary that she knew he murdered her father Rick.

Kelly begged Keiron to change his mind about killing Gary and threatened him with the police.

But things turn sinister at the end of the episode when Keiron took Kelly hostage by shoving her aggressively into the back of his van.

While the scenes were quite dark and gloomy, it turns out they were shot during the UK heatwave in summer.

Sharing some behind the scenes snaps on Coronation Street's official Twitter page, the caption read: "Corrie secret. We actually filmed tonight's woods scenes in the middle of the day on one of the hottest days of the year!"

The pictures show Mikey North, who plays Gary, standing in the grave he had to dig for his character.
