CORONATION Street star Trevor Michael Georges has confessed that his character Ed Bailey is about to take a dark turn in the soap.
Fans have watched on over recent weeks on the ITV soap opera as Ed appeared to slip into his old gambling habits.
The storyline is expected to take a heated turn as Ed continues to conceal his struggles from the rest of the Bailey clan with the actor confessing he will become a "professional liar".
With his children, Michael and Dee-Dee, seemingly unaware of what is going on, Ed has already begun to impersonate deceased show legend Norris Cole by applying for a bank card in his name.
But now as his addiction hangs over him once again, actor Trevor has opened up on the dark path that Ed is about to find himself on.
The star said: "The Baileys came to Coronation Street due to Ed bringing his whole family into crisis and almost lost everything due to his gambling addiction.
