Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver shares adorable snap as she celebrates becoming a grandma for the fourth time | The Sun

CORONATION Street star Sue Cleaver looked so in love as she held her newborn grandchild before flying Down Under.

The actress, known to millions as Eileen Grimshaw in Corrie, is due to head to Australia to take part in I'm A Celebrity within days.

But she managed to meet the latest addition to her family and shared an adorable snap of their first cuddles on Instagram.

The TV star shared: "Grandchild No.4 #grandchildren #family"

She is due to travel to Oz a week earlier than usual to allow time to quarantine and test for coronavirus before I'm A Celeb's new start date.

Actress Sue, 59, agreed to take part in the show for a bumper pay packet.

And ITV show chiefs are said to be thrilled. A source told The Sun: "Sue is a very-much-loved Street legend and the bosses are delighted to have her as part of the line-up.

"She will be brilliant and is looking forward to really pushing out of her comfort zone and challenging herself."

Sue, who previously starred in comedy Dinnerladies, made her Corrie debut in May 2000 alongside screen sons Ryan Thomas and Bruno Langley.

She quickly became a fan favourite as a straight-talking single mum.

She has been at the centre of some of the show's most dramatic storylines, thanks to a longrunning feud with Gail Platt (Helen Worth) and a series of turbulent romances.

A source close to I'm A Celeb told The Sun the stars will need to isolate and take tests before entering camp.

An insider said: “Bosses want to make sure that the return to Australia is as smooth as possible and want to eliminate any risk of an outbreak that would throw the camp into chaos.

“Luckily for the celebs they will have a week to get over their jet lag and will be craving human contact by the time they reach the Jungle.

“However it does mean that the stars will be away from their loved ones for even longer this year which could see tensions rise.”
