With the police quickly closing in on him, the Canadian businessman decides to take Jenny off on holiday to Thailand to get away from all the madness as she continues to mourn Leo’s death.

But things soon go from bad to worse when the Waterford’s Manager arrives to reveal that they’re closing the Rovers Return for an extensive refurbishment.

Jenny is thrown another curveball when they informed her that everyone’s contracts have been terminated with immediate effect.

Desperate to save the pub, the landlady rushes to solicitor Adam Barlow who reassures her that there’s a case for unfair dismissal.

But the businesswoman struggles to juggle her affairs when DS Swain calls to tell her that the police now have proof that neither Leo nor Teddy visited Canada.

It’s at this point that Jenny insists that Teddy contacted Stephen from Canada to the police while the sadistic criminal inwardly panics.

Later on in the week, Jenny and Stephen are forced to move in with Rita as the Waterford workmen start boarding up the Rovers.

The businessman insists that they won’t be under Rita’s feet for too long because he has booked a lavish trip to Thailand for them.

But Jenny is clearly not in the mood to leave Weatherfield as she watches her beloved pub close down with the support of her friends Daisy, Sean, Glenda and Gemma.

The bad news doesn’t end there when Gemma reveals that she’s applied for the deputy manager role within Waterfords.
