Corries Tina McIntyre set to return from dead in major coup for soap, says AI

Michelle Keegan could be returning to Coronation Street – despite her character getting killed off nearly ten years ago, according to AI.

The TV fave, 36, shot to fame playing barmaid beauty Tina McIntyre in the long-running ITV soap back in 2008.

But in 2014, and after half a decade on the famous cobbles, Tina was killed off when she was pushed off a balcony.

Despite managing to survive the fall, her character was beaten with a metal pole by Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis) – which resulted in her death.

Since her tragic exit, Michelle has kept herself busy – bagging roles in the likes of BBC smash hit Our Girl and Sky comedy series Brassic.

And apparently, Michelle could be heading back to Weatherfield in a “major coup” for the long-running ITV soap.

With EastEnders’ Cindy Beale ‘returning from the dead’ in recent episodes over at the BBC, the same could also be said for Corrie favourite Tina.

Now, Daily Star has quizzed one of the world’s most popular artificially intelligent “creative” tools Bard AI, to see if Michelle could be back on the iconic northern soap.

“Michelle has never ruled out a return to Coronation Street, and she has said that she would be open to the idea if the storyline was right,” the system claimed.

The AI program then suggested a “few” reasons as to why Michelle, who married Mark Wright in 2015, could be back on telly screens.

“First, she is still a popular and well-liked character. She was a fan favourite during her time on the show, and many people would be happy to see her return.

“Second, her return could be used to create new drama for the show. For example, she could come back to avenge the death of her character, Tina McIntyre.”

Bard AI went on: “Third, her return could be used to boost ratings. Coronation Street has been struggling in the ratings in recent years, and a return by Michelle Keegan would be a major coup for the show.”

However, the system did note there are some reasons why Michelle might not be heading back to Corrie.

“First, she is now a successful actress in her own right. She has starred in several major TV shows and films, and she is likely to be offered many more opportunities in the future,” Bard AI said.

“Second, she may not be interested in returning to a soap opera. Soap operas are known for their long hours and demanding schedules, and Michelle Keegan may not be willing to commit to that kind of work.

“Third, she may not be happy with the way her character was killed off. Tina McIntyre was killed off in a very dramatic and shocking way, and Michelle Keegan may not want to revisit that storyline.”
