Dan (Liam Fox) is about to get not one but two bombs dropped on him in Emmerdale. Firstly the revelation that his daughter Amelia (Daisy Campbell) is in a relationship with Noah (Jack Downham), and secondly that she’s pregnant. And he does not react well.
Noah goes with Amelia to her latest baby scan and the two of them realise that they have feelings for each other. For just a short while they’re in a bubble of happiness as they start to feel like they could be a family and raise the baby together.
Noah, of course, has recently been released from prison where he ended up after stalking Chloe (Jessie Elland) in a misguided and unpleasant attempt to make her like him. He seems to have finally realised that he behaved appallingly and since his relationship with Amelia started developing when she began visiting him in prison we’ve seen a more sensitive, kinder side to Noah.
Unfortunately his reputation hasn’t caught up with these changes and as far as most of the people in the village are concerned he’s still a nasty little creep.
So when Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) spots Amelia and Noah kissing and reports back to Dan, he is not a happy man at all.
Then it all kicks off at the prom, where the news of Amelia’s pregnancy is blurted out. Daisy Campbell described the scene to us:
‘Amelia goes [to the prom] but she doesn’t really feel like going because she doesn’t want to show the bump in the dress. Then she ends up getting into a feud with Noah because he ends up saying something to someone else. It ends up causing drama between Noah and Amelia and loads of people come to the village hall where we’re kicking off and it’s then just shouted out there and Amelia just feels absolutely horrible, but she feels like there’s a weight lifted off her shoulders as well.’
Amelia might be relieved, but Dan is incandescent with rage and launches a furious attack at Noah. Will he end up causing serious harm – or worse?
