Dancing On Ice fans all saying the same thing as Diversity’s incredible performance last night | The Sun

DANCING On Ice fans were left in awe of Diversity last night as the troupe performed an incredible live routine.

Perri Kiely returned to the rink three years after controversially finishing second to Joe Swash and was better than ever.

And show judge Ashley Banjo strapped on his skates and took to the ice for the first time, incorporating effortless spins as he danced hand in hand with his friend.

But it was Perri who stole the show, performing moves that would see him top the current leaderboard.

He produced a flip, a jumping spin and an incredible slow-motion stop on one leg.

While his general skating was confident, quick and powerful.

The staging was equally as eye-catching with Diversity members dressed in smart white shirts and trilbies as they performed to Usher's smooth vocals.

Pro skaters took a backing role to add bodies to the rink and help Ashley transition from one part of the studio to the other.

Viewers were amazed. One wrote on Twitter: "How breathtaking was the performance by @Diversity_Tweet on @dancingonice this evening? Mind blowing!"

Another said: "That choreographed controlled reverse stop ON ONE SKATE killed it @perrikiely The 2023 series #DancingOnIce winner, I think Twitter agrees."

A third posted: "It's only taken 5 years to get @AshleyBanjo on ice in skates, but that was well worth the wait! SMASHED IT."

A fourth said: "Well. @dancingonice @ITV May as well pack up the rest of the series after that @Diversity_Tweet on ice performance. @AshleyBanjo & @perrikiely smashed it. There’s nothing else I’d rather watch for the next 6 Sundays."

Diversity has a history of performing jaw-dropping televised spectacles.

The group, which shot to fame on Britain's Got Talent in 2009, returned to that show in 2020 for a hard-hitting Black Lives Matter routine in the wake of George Floyd's murder in the US.

They performed again the following year with a Magic Mike-style routine that had viewers very hot under the collar.
