Dan's prison fate confirmed as he's charged with manslaughter in Emmerdale

Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) was given devastating news about his future in Friday’s (August 4) episode of Emmerdale.

The character recently attended a plea hearing after he put Lloyd Sawyer in hospital.

Dan punched Lloyd in the face after he came to the village with the intention of spending time with Amelia (Daisy Campbell), who he had found on social media.

The stalker wound Dan up about what he was doing, resulting in a punch in the face.

While Dan was in court this week, Lloyd’s health deteriorated and he eventually died.

Tonight, after Dan was given the update, he returned to the police station to face extra charges.

Dan was told that Lloyd died after another bleed on the brain, which only occurred because of Dan’s past actions.

As a result, Dan was charged with manslaughter.

Back at home, Dan updated Mandy (Lisa Riley) on the news and then eventually Amelia, who was still desperately trying to work out a way for her dad to not go to prison.

Dan said to Amelia that his solicitor told him that he could get between 3-8 years behind bars, but won’t actually find out until his sentencing in a few weeks time.

With Dan realising that his time in the village is wrapping up, Amelia will put forward the idea of going on the run so the Spencer family can stay together, but will Dan agree to it, knowing his sentence will be even longer if the police catch up with him?
