Denise Van Outen flirts with Love Island’s Davide as she says he is ‘nervous’

Denise Van Outen had flirty banter with Davide Sanclimenti over the weekend when they both appeared on The Big Breakfast.

The revamped 90s and noughties TV show aired on Saturday (August 13) for the first time since 2002, hosted by AJ Odudu and Mo Gilligan.

Welcoming Big Breakfast royalty and old host Denise, 48, the blonde beauty was overjoyed to be on the rebooted programme – and even more so when she enjoyed some flirty banter with a Love Island hunk.

Denise appeared on the show alongside Love Island 2022 winners Davide, 27, and his partner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, 27.

But things turned awkward when Denise hinted at Davide feeling "nervous" around her.

Pointing out that Davide had left a gap between them on the sofa during the show, Denise told hosts AJ and Mo: "I think he's a bit nervous of me. Have you noticed how he's sort of moved away from me?"

Shuffling up to Davide, Denise then said: "That's how you start your mornings."

The Italian hunk seemed to be slightly taken aback by Denise's remarks, but smiled and laughed nonetheless, while Ekin-Su smiled and laughed along as well.

This all came as the Love Island winners announced that they will be heading up their own travel and food programme on ITV2.

Revealing the news on The Big Breakfast on Saturday, Davide did the honours when he said: "We are going to a road trip to Italy and Turkey, so one week in Italy and Turkey."

Ekin-Su grinned at her beau as he then revealed: "We're gonna be on ITV2, so it's gonna be like our own programme."

Fans seemed overjoyed at the news, with one exclaiming on Twitter: "Ekin-Su and Davide are getting their own show on itv2, love to see it! #LoveIsland #BigBreakfast."

Another added: "Davide and Ekin are going on a road trip for an ITV2 program! Can't wait to see!"

The Big Breakfast airs every Saturday at 10am on Channel 4 and All4.
