Did Britney Spears delete her Instagram? | The Sun

BRITNEY Spears has been in the public eye a lot more since the end of her controversial conservatorship.

However, she worried fans again in June 2022 after her Instagram page went dark.

Did Britney Spears delete her Instagram?

In June, Spears fans were quick to notice that her Instagram account was gone just days after her wedding to long-time boyfriend Sam Asghari.

As of June 16, her account read: "Sorry, this page isn't available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed."

At this time, it remains unclear why she decided to delete her account, but many believe it has to do with allegations made by her father, Jamie Spears.

According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Spears' father wants her to answer for her controversial social media posts in a deposition after claiming she was on a social media campaign to trash him.

The court documents were filed on June 16, 2022, with his lawyer claiming that the pop icon “continues to make public social media posts containing incendiary allegations of various factual matters."

Page Six notes that Jamie's lawyer would also like to depose her over statements her attorney, Matthew Rosengart, has said in the past.

However, Rosengart told the media outlet that Jamie “impugned” his character “long ago.”

“Mr. Spears, who was ignominiously suspended by the Court in September, continues to disgrace himself, especially through this most-recent foolish and ill-advised filing, which is riddled with errors and falsehoods, as he himself knows,” Rosengart told Page Six.

“In addition to trying to bully his own daughter, he is now pathetically reduced to trying to intimidate her, while abusing the legal process and running and hiding from his own deposition.

"Anyone else would be ashamed by these tactics, but he and his representatives are truly shameless. In terms of ‘impugning his character,’ Mr. Spears did that to himself long ago.”

At this time, it is unclear if Jamie's allegations will make it to court.

Spears also deleted her account in September 2021.

Are Britney's other accounts still active?

So far, it only looks like the star's Instagram account has gone dark as fans can still search for her on Twitter.

She last posted on June 15, 2022, about her Versace wedding dress, writing: "Over 700 hand stitches went into tailoring and crafting my dress. A huge thank you to the @Versace team for making me a real-life princess."

Just days prior, she also wrote about her wedding to Asghari.

On the Facebook side of social media, her account there is still live too, with similar posts to Twitter.

Who is Britney Spears' husband?

On June 9, 2022, Spears tied the knot with Sam Asghari.

Born in 1994, Asghari is known as a model, personal trainer, and actor.

The two met after Asghari starred in Spears' music video for Slumber Party back in 2016 and started dating shortly after.

He then popped the question in September 2021 after she claimed that her father’s conservator role prevented her from getting married, despite her wishes to walk down the aisle again.

Following their engagement, Asghari revealed that he asked Spears' lawyer for permission and not her father.
