Dragons' Den star sparks concern as wife posts pic of him in hospital saying 'fingers crossed' | The Sun

A TOP Dragons' Den star has sparked concern with an image showing him in a hospital bed.

Duncan Bannatyne, 74, was seen in a blue medical gown and lying back as he prepared to be wheeled in for treatment.

His wife Nigora, 43, captured the snap of the Dragon's Den star as she explained the situation to fans.

In her caption, she wrote of the BBC star: "Ready for an endoscopy in one of the best hospitals in Portugal with the best medical care."

Trying to stay upbeat, she then captured a snap showing Duncan propped up on hospital pillows as she flashed a pout at the camera.

An endoscopy is a procedure in which the gastrointestinal tract is viewed by doctors through a fiber-optic camera known as an endoscope.

A small tube is inserted – either through natural bodily openings, or strategically planned, small incisions.

The endoscope helps medical professionals examine areas that cannot be easily seen outside the body: the esophagus, the stomach, the colon, or the small intestines, for example.

Later in the day, Nigora gave a mini update.

She took a selfie and accompanied with the words: "Waiting for my love Duncan Bannatyne fingers crossed all goes OK."

It is unclear if the TV favourite has now come around from sedation or what the next steps are.

Earlier this summer we revealed the pair's stunning Portuguese holiday home by the beach.

The couple are now opening the doors to the four-bed property to Dragons' Den fans and those eager for a luxury seaside escape.

With the villa in Portugal's exclusive Vale de Lobo area, it is close to a host of exclusive golf courses as well as the glistening picture-perfect beach.

Duncan's spouse – whom he married in Portugal in 2017 – added: "This villa without a doubt is the ideal option for a family or a group of friends who want to relax in contact with nature and enjoy the sanctuary and the power of the ocean!"

Images on Airbnb show the stunning multi-level property in full glory.

Duncan and Nigora met shortly after his divorce from wife number two, Joanna McCue, which was said to have cost him £345million – in 2011.

The entrepreneur has five daughters and one son from his previous marriages, while Nigora has one daughter from her former marriage.
