Gb News 1GB News: Eamonn calls co-star ‘argumentative’
Eamonn Holmes made a dig at his GB News co-star Isabel Webster when she admitted she had backchatted a police officer.
The pair were discussing speed limits when Isabel admitted to driving over the 20mph limit at night.
Eamonn went on to call her “very argumentative” as Isabel recalled how she had defended herself whilst being “polite”.
Eamonn asked: “So the police officer said to you ‘Madam, do you really want to be arguing this with me?’
“And then what did you say?”, Isabel replied: “And then I changed my tune very quickly.
“I wasn’t disrespectful, I was very polite, but there were three lanes of traffic and it travels down from national speed limit to 30.
“Because it’s right next to Twickenham stadium and it sometimes becomes very busy and congested.
“But it was three in the morning, there wasn’t a single car on the road and it was just counter-intuitive.
“I didn’t think I’d need to drive at 30mph at that time and he stopped me and corrected me, which was absolutely the law.
“But I just thought, ‘Really? Is this the best use of your time?’
“And he was like ‘Is this the right way to speak to a police officer?’
“So I changed my tune and learned my lesson.” Eamonn called her “very argumentative” as she admitted she would “always stand up for herself”.
Eamonn continued: “If I was a police officer I would be constantly issuing you tickets.
“You would love to get me in handcuffs, wouldn’t you?” as his co-star blushed and said: “Oh gosh”.
Isabel had joked that Eamonn would be in jail if she was in charge, saying: “To quote Donald Trump, you know where he’s like ‘You’d be in jail!’.
