EastEnders fans were left devastated on Wednesday's episode as two characters left Albert Square after evil Janine Butcher set up Linda Carter to social services.
Only recently, Janine blackmailed Jada Lennox as she demanded she plant empty bottles of alcohol and call social services, pretending that Linda was drinking again.
However, Jada had a change of heart as she refused to go along with the scheme and even accused Janine of being "jealous" due to Linda's bond with her ex Mick Carter, who is dating Janine.
Yet Janine was quick to hit back as she played a recording of Jada agreeing to go along with the plan as she blackmailed her into setting Linda up.
Later in the episode, a social worker popped by the premises after the fake call where they spotted all the planted bottles of booze and a bruise on Annie’s arm, resulting them in taking the child to hospital.
A sobbing Linda was left devastated as she insisted that she hadn't hurt her baby as she chased after her daughter before collapsing into Mick's arms while Janine watched on.
However, during Wednesday's episode, Jada was left feeling guilty as she confessed to Sharon Watts, who insisted she report the crime to the police immediately.
Yet before Jada could do the right thing, she bumped into Janine who manipulated her into reconsidering and even blackmailed her once again.
As a result, Jada decided to leave Albert Square with her daughter Alyssa even though Zack Hudson tried to stop her.
At the same time, Sharon let slip to Linda that Jada set her up with the pub landlady left devastated when she realised Jada had left and her hopes of getting baby Annie back thwarted.
Viewers were quick to react to the scenes as one person tweeted: "Jada left with the truth how will Linda get Annie back #EastEnders."
