BBC EastEnders and former I'm a Celebrity star Dean Gaffney, 44, is reportedly giving the ITV show another try having signed up for an All Stars series, set to be filmed in South Africa.
The actor, who played Robbie Jackson in the BBC soap, last appeared in the jungle 16 years ago in 2006 when he headed to Australia alongside hosts Ant and Dec.
It's reported that the new all-star series will have a different feel to previous years as the cast will be off to South Africa for the first time in the show's history.
The show will also be heading back to Murwillumbah in New South Wales with a fresh batch of celebrities as the main show returns to Australia after Covid forced filming to take place at Gwrych Castle in North Wales last year.
Gaffney's All Stars version is reportedly going to air in early 2023 so I'm a Celebrity fans will be treated to three helpings of the series in under two years.
A source told The Sun: “Dean is regarded as one of the best contestants the show has ever had. When the All Stars show was first mooted he was a name that everyone wanted to get on board.
They added: “It’s taken some time but he’s now signed on the dotted line and will be on the plane to South Africa with some other show greats. Everyone is chuffed.”
A number of familiar faces are thought to be joining Dean in South Africa including boxer Amir Khan, 35, and Loose Women star Gillian McKeith, 62.
Other possibilities taking part in the South African spin-off are Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell, 64, Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder, 59, and socialite Lady C, 72.
