EastEnders fans brand Theo ‘pure evil’ after he convinces Stacey to kick out Eve

EastEnders fans have labelled newcomer Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) "pure evil" amid his continued obsession with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

Following Thursday night's episode, 17 August, fans took to social media in uproar after Theo convinced Stacey to kick Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) out of the Slater family home after she destroyed the kitchen in a drunken rage after coming face-to-face with the woman who killed her twin sister.

In subsequent scenes, Theo suggested that it may be unsafe for Eve to be around 12-year-old Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) and her soon-to-be-born baby.

Following this chat, Stacey told Eve that it was perhaps best if she found somewhere else to live – something that left viewers enraged.

Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: "Theo is pure evil and if Stacey doesn’t figure that out soon her or Eve are in bother.

"I knew he would use Lily to manipulate Stacey [heartbroken emoji] I hate what she did to Eve but she was angry and trying to protect Lily or so she thinks."

While another added: "Theo planting seeds of doubt into Stacey’s head about poor vulnerable Eve is just evil. Poor Eve and Stacey. [heartbroken emoji] #EastEnders"

"Not Theo trying to turn Stacey against Eve. Stacey should be questioning this. He meant to be Lily's teacher and he's crossing the line #EastEnders"

And others were quick to turn against Stacey over her decision to kick Eve out, with one viewer arguing: "Stacey has been friends with Eve from the start – right from when she was in prison.

"She's known Theo for all of 5 mins and now she's taking his side. EVE IS NOT A LIABILITY STACEY!!!!!! #EastEnders"

While a second tweeted: "All the times Eve stood by Stacey and now Eve is going through hell Stacey kicks her out, what a b*tch! #Eastenders"

And a third simply said: "Arsehole move, Stacey. Eve needs you now more than ever #EastEnders"

It comes after fans have shared their predictions that Theo will be killed off at Christmas after flash-forward scenes to the Christmas episode have teased a major storyline involving a character death that is set to involve one of the female residents of Albert Square.

Since the storyline was announced in February, viewers have been guessing at which scenes have been clues and whose time in Walford could be up, with many now thinking Theo is the most likely candidate.

One fan tweeted: " "I wonder if the dead body at Christmas is going to be Theo??" As another argued: "Theo needs to be the dead body at Christmas I swear."

While someone else wrote: "Starting to think Theo is the one murdered in the Vic at Christmas??? If I’m not mistaken it’s Stacey and Denise standing over him with the potential murder weapons. The thing that connects them- Lily’s baby! Got a feeling this storyline taking a dark turn…"
