EastEnders fans praise George as he kills Dean in Queen Vic showdown

EastEnders fans have praised George Knight for slapping Dean Wicks in "satisfying" scenes which aired on Monday, 20 November.

George arrived upstairs at the Queen Vic with Cindy Beale to find Dean intimidating Linda Carter once again and quickly intervened. A visibly shaken Linda watched on as George told Dean to get out of the pub, but he continued to argue back.

Furious at Dean's words, George slapped him and he fell backwards, tumbling down the stairs. The episode's closing scenes saw Cindy, Linda and George look on in horror as Dean lay unconscious at the bottom of the stairs.

Viewers were pleased to see George defend Linda, with many praising the pub landlord for slapping Dean, branding it "satisfying".

"George slapped Dean into next week #EastEnders," one person joked, as a second said: "YESSS!! FINALLY!! I've been waiting for that to happen since Dean came back #EastEnders".

"George absolutely slapping the f*** out of Dean was so satisfying. Do it again #EastEnders," a third said.

A fourth EastEnders fan added: "George did what we've all wanted to see since what he did to linda #EastEnders."

Dean's fate remains to be seen, but spoilers have revealed Cindy calls an ambulance and Dean is then taken to hospital. Cindy considers covering for George, much to Ian's annoyance and he attempts to talk her out of it.

However, when Linda discovers George is on a suspended sentence, she takes matters into her own hands in order to protect him. When Elaine tells Linda she’s determined to do anything to keep George out of prison, Linda has a decision to make.

Dean's arrival on the Square has really riled up the Walford residents, with everyone rallying around Linda in a bid to support her. Some EastEnders fans are hoping that his arrival will spark the return of other characters, such as Shirley Carter – Dean's mum – and Shabnam Masood, who is the mother to his daughter Jade.

Shirley left the Square earlier this year after son Mick's tragic death, while Shabnam left Walford with her daughter in 2016 and hasn't been seen since.

Shirley is believed to have reconnected with Dean prior to his arrival in Walford, so many viewers think it's only a matter of time before she heads back to the Queen Vic to reunite with daughter-in-law Linda.
