EastEnders: Lily Slater gives birth to a baby daughter

EastEnders’ Jay Brown (played by Jamie Borthwick) and Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) share their concerns as Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit) returns for her granddaughter.

After Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) death, Jay had to battle with his fear, anger and grief to be a support to Lola Pearce (Isabella Brown).

He recently became one of Lexi’s guardians as Ben accompanies him to sign the papers and start their co-parenting journey.

However, they are set to hit their first bump in the road when Emma returns to Walford and struggles to let her have access to Lexi.

Angry over her revelation, Jay throws her out but Callum Highway (Tony Clay) pleads with him to listen to what she has to say for Lexi’s sake, leaving Emma to arrange another meeting tomorrow.

Also angry about her return is Lexi’s biological father Ben who bans Emma from seeing her granddaughter.

Later, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) urges Jay to put Lexu’s feelings first, knowing how much she loves her grandmother.

He is later pushed even further and left heartbroken when Emma shows him the anguished messages Lexi has been sending her.

Questioning why Lexi hadn’t spoken to Jay, Callum or Ben about it, Emma explains the youngster doesn’t want to upset her dads any further.

After their emotional conversation, Jay promises to speak to Ben about letting Emma see Lexi, but Jay is reluctant to keep their contact going.

Emma soon promises never to leave Lexi again, but Ben soon destroys her hopes.

Will Ben persuade Emma to leave Walford and Lexi once again? Will she be able to prove she only cares about Lexi’s wellbeing?
